The scoop on CDs

A Thrivent Bank Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a low-risk savings account that pays a set interest rate over a set amount of time. When the term’s up, you can auto-renew to keep saving or close the CD to withdraw your initial deposit plus the interest you’ve earned.
  • Earn 4.25% APY for 7 months

Don’t miss this offer – no minimum or maximum deposit. Plus, you can open unlimited CDs

Unlike a high-yield savings account (HYSA), your CD rate is locked in
  • Plan for the future
Save for your goals, from down payments to retirement
  • Save with confidence

Your Thrivent Bank CD is FDIC insured

How to open a Thrivent Bank CD

Just follow these simple steps.
  • Open and fund a Thrivent Bank account
Get started with a Thrivent Money™, Thrivent Checking or Thrivent Savings account, and add money.
  • Open your CD
Once your funds are available, open a CD. You won’t start earning interest until you fund your account.
  • Transfer money to your CD
Add money to your CD with an internal transfer — you can add money to your CD only once.
  • Watch your savings grow
Add money to your CD right away so you don’t miss out on interest. Your term starts when your CD is opened, not funded.
